My facebook page has now reached 950 likes, and as promised here's a NEW SONG! Just keep on inviting your friends though...1000 likes are just around the corner - can we do that before album release???
The song features the talented Norwegian singer Bitten-Helén. Some of you may have heard her on my previously released song "Take me home" - and she will also be featured on several Paul Bernard songs in the near future. And if you're lucky maybe you'll get the oppurtunity to see her live on stage this year....
The song also contains additional guitars performed by Håkon Holmås.
The original version of "Afraid" can be heard on my album "The very best of the worse". I also did a more uptempo, hardhitting remix version on a few live shows. So this is kind of the third version of the same song - and it's called "Afraid II".
Btw, the album is being mastered as we speak, meanwhile listen to my music (and follow me) at Soundcloud, Reverbnation, Urørt - and if you like what you hear, please share the songs/links.
"Beginning back in 2009 we created the Kunsthaus, the idea of an art house which was soley web based with hope to moving into a physical presence in the future. From Kunsthaus, we launched theCarni, an extention of media outlet and commercial grounds with co exists alongside the art house, bringing up to date news and individual features and expression. Hopefully we will get the physical presence still." - Michael A.Walker, theCarni
Some may recognize the song from the FAT FUCKS's live shows. The original "Depend" song can be found on my first album "Unfinished bizniz - a collection of dreams & grey stones" and features the folksond band Sugar Plum Fairies. After playing the song live with together with the FAT FUCKS we changed it up a bit and it sounded more like the remix version. The remix version also features Jens Erik Aasmundseth (Fat Fucks & Major Parkinson) on additional live drums.
".....there's not always a very direct connection between music I like and music I write. If you listen to my music, you would be surprised if you knew some of the music I listen to, and if you knew what kind of music I listen to, you would may be surprised if you listened to my music." - from theCarni interview
BONUS - live version of "Depend" with THE FAT FUCKS.
Right now I'm about to complete 4 albums, included "Sånne dager" (main album), "Sånne andre dager Vol.I" (tracks from the same period of time that didn't make it to the main album), "Sånne andre dager Vol.II" (remixes of new and old songs), "Collaborations & remixes Vol.III" (title says it all), plus I have given away over 50 beats to other artists and have several guest appearances coming up. So it is going to be a good year for MUSIC!
I don't expect you to like everything or even listen to all of the music, but I KNOW you will find something you like and I HOPE you will support me and BUY the main album (Sånne dager) when the time is right (remember all of the income will be donated to Global Orphanage Foundation).
Meanwhile here are some other NEW songs you should check out!
The US rapper MARK DEEZ launched a remix contest a while ago and as some of you may have noticed; I love doing remixes! So I entered the contest and yesterday Mark Deez announced the winners - presenting the top 10 where the top 3 remixes get an award each.
